Green medical facility design

U.S. Green Building Council, Central Texas Balcones Chapter, is hosting a conference where experts in healthcare facility design and operations will discuss how sustainable design supports the improvement of patient health. Discussion will also touch on how sustainable design addresses environmental issues that can contribute to negative health outcomes and potentially increases the overall profitability of healthcare systems. The program includes a tour of Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas, the first LEED Platinum hospital, aka green building. A reception and networking event will follow the tour.
